"We enlisted the help of Julie to get our operant conditioning program up and running. We wanted to give our Keepers the skills to work more effectively and safely with the animals, both with day to day interaction as well as ongoing procedures from shifting, weighing, crating, and more. We can now squeeze a bear for an injection without sedating, have low-stress catching of lemurs for physicals, weigh our steer and donkey with ease. The list of what’s being worked on is extensive and “what’s next” seems like a realistic possibility now."
